Anonymous asked: Why Hardlet doesn't get any explicit scenes? Their relationship dynamic in comparison to the other couples of this generation.

This is an awesome question. I have been wondering this myself. I have written on bits of pieces random thoughts about this particular concept. Part of me thinks maybe it has to do with Jess Sula’s age because if my memory serves me right she is one of the youngest cast members. However, then I’m like “this is fucking Skins” and I bet if they wanted a sex scene they would figure something out! 

Then I also think it might just be that Rich and Grace are just a wholesome couple that Skins writers really have no idea how to write a sex scene. Which is a shame since Grace seems like she would be kinky and Alex Arnold has insane sized fingers. They can definitely make it work. There is something innocent and true about their relationship. 

I was talking with a friend the other day about them since I am a huge Hardlet fan. I go to thinking that Rich and Grace are a unique couple for Skins. Chris and Jal had issues of secret keeping and cheating. Tony and Michelle were a mind fuck. Cassie and Sid had major communication issues never on the same page. Effy and Freddie were intense and unstable. Pandora and Thomas were cheating on both sides. Naomi and Emily there was insecurity about getting involved in a relationship, cheating, and then of course the mindfuck aftermath. 

Rich and Grace have great communication. No secrets. Accept one another. Were not afraid of commitment. They are both old souls. That a sex scene might be tricky to write. I also think there is a reason that the issues Rich and Grace have seem not to be the relationship between them. However the outside world throwing curve balls at them. They are the only Skins relationship to be solid and tested by exterior forces only. That is interesting. 

I hope that we do get a sex scene though. It would be nice to see Skins write a sex scene of love. Not desperation, cheating, anger, or anything else. But just pure love.
