Anonymous asked: How do you think Rich and Alo became friends?

I actually have a story I came up with to explain Rich and Alo becoming friends. Again this is just how my mind works. 

I always imagine that they were best mates from a real young age like six years of age. I imagine that Alo’s Mom tried to home school him on the farm, but then was like “you need to go to proper school.” So Alo gets sent to a proper school. I picture Alo excited and ready to meet people. Then Rich is being dropped off by Anita who had him in preppy middle class clothes like a sweater vest or something. Rich tried to take the vest off but Anita kept yelling at him. Finally Anita leaves and Rich takes the sweater vest and puts scissors to it. 

Rich is really shy and keeps to himself. The other kids do not speak to him. I can picture Rich telling some kid that his drawing was shit or something. In the name of “helping him” but the other kids didn’t like it. So he kind of gets pushed to the side. He sees Alo who is in random clothes that don’t match with dirt on his forehead. 

Alo is all excited wants to make friends but gets made fun of do to his looks and red hair. Some boy “befriends him” only to be mean to Alo at recess and throws a ball at Alo’s face. Rich then comes up and gives the kid who threw the ball a talking to. Then Rich says “You really know how to pick your mates.” Then they get to talking about random things like ninjas, zombies, and music. They start playing “imaginative” games. 

I always imagined that Rich and Alo played pretend quite a bit due to the fact it was just them really. Them against the world. Alo always stayed curious and excited about the chance to meet other people. Rich becomes more cynical and withdrawn about the others. Showing their two separate sides. Rich finds metal and it empowers him to be himself up against all this snobbery. Tells Alo about the music and then together they dream of becoming roadies. Rich always telling Alo that metal music is going to change the world…eventually Alo and him will be the so called cool ones. 

So I haven’t thought about this at all. No. lol What do you think?
