Flow of Madness

I was given this book a long time ago, but I never really looked through it until tonight. I was looking up all my favorite people and my favorite fictional people. So of course I had to look up Richard for Daddy Hardbeck. I was shocked by how accurate the description was. 

Basically this is from “The Secret Universe of Names” by Roy Feinson. He has a unique way of analyzing names based on the historical use of letters and breaking down the name into phonemes (parts). So for this Richard is under the “RCH” names. So if your name is Rachael, Rachel, Rich, Richard, Richelle, Richie, Rochelle, or other similar names this applies to you as well.

Adjectives to Describe Them: Versatile, Contemplative, Practical, Closed, Complex, and Stubborn. 

When a word contains the CH phoneme it invariably displays the benign sense of cheeky cheerfulness found in words cherub, cheeky, chocolate, chide, childhood, chummy, chamomile, and chipmunk. And since these names are initialized by the flagship letter of all things racy, ribald, robust, and romantic, they tend to herald a personality of uncommon buoyant energy with a creative essence that’s second to none. 

RCHs may have a romantic streak to rival any Romeo and Juliet, but these are no wide eyed dreamers….they have a plan and are sticking to it. And RCHs aren’t going to let little things like tradition and society’s expectations to get in their way either. They know what they want and are perfectly willing to break convention to get it. By the same token, RCHs aren’t afraid of being judged. They are grounded by deep moral convictions and are supremely confidence in the purity of their motives. 

Monotony is the archenemy of the RCH, so if you find yourself in a relationship with one of these eager sprites, you’d better be able to keep the spices flowing. 

In their professional lives, their streak of individualism means that they’re far more likely to end up planting their own fields rather than tending someone else’s. But wether or not they’re in business for themselves, their lifestyles will always include plenty of time for self-expression and stimulation. 

Acting, music, and dancing do hold their interest however, and even if RCHs aren’t professionally involved in the arts, will likely be avid supporters of them. 

They also have strong desire to settle down and raise families…..still just because RCHs get married doesn’t mean they’re rejecting the joys of independence. This usually expresses itself in the way they raise their children, who are encouraged to follow the RCHs rambling footsteps.

The bold statements to me are the ones that really stand out as correct. I am not sure that they went to this much length to pick Rich’s name. More likely they named him Rich to show his arrogance and how sure of himself he is. It is a name that suits him. However those bolded parts are dead on. Rich is a guy who had a method and a strong convictions that dictates his behavior. This is true at the end of Series 6 and the beginning of Series 5. The only difference is that he amended his beliefs, because of the new influences in is life. Not because he wanted to please them, but because he realized he was wrong about a few things. It also mentions that Music and Film are areas that are of great interest to a person with these names. Rich’s passion for music is legendary. I also like the last part because it states that even though he may have that romantic streak and a desire to raise a family—they never let go of that individualistic side to themselves and their need for self-expression. Rich may have fallen in love with Grace, but he never compromised who he was. He just fell in love and he was good to her.
