I write about pop culture and life in a philosophical way. Main topics include Skins, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Ed Sheeran. I will also include anything else that tickles me. Feel free to say hi. Always glad to hear from all of you. Thank you for existing. |
Anonymous asked: You said that you've learned a lot from Rich. I was wondering what those things are. Sorry if you have already answered this. :)
I have learned so much from Rich. I have learned so much from all of them really. I learn from everyone.
Rich though I think the lessons are profound and Rich in many ways represents the traits I respect most in this world. Saying this though he is an imperfect character and he needed Grace to soften the edges of him a bit. However there are so many things about Rich I admire.
I think what I love most about Rich is that he is genuine. I mean let’s be honest Rich is a character that could be annoying. Some metalhead guy who thinks he is always right and sulks. I think the reason for this is because he’s genuine. He is not doing it for attention or malice. He does it because he honestly believes in the things he is passionate about and genuinely despises the things he hates. This is why people love Rich for being the person he is. That’s why I love him. He’s genuine.
His genuineness goes even further. I think with Rich he has taught me to mean what I say and do what I say. He is a consistent and stable personality not just throughout Series 5 and Series 6, but inside himself as well. Which is rare. He doesn’t say things he doesn’t mean. If Rich compliments you…you know that you’ve earned it. If he declares his love for you…you know he means it. If you make him smile…you feel accomplished. He does not fake and he does not lie (unless to help a friend).
I also think Rich has taught me how to love. He cares about things and he wants his life to have meaning. This combination creates a personality that is single-mindedly devoted to things. Like metal and Grace. However he is not co-dependent either. He knows himself and he likes his alone time. He can survive on his own two feet and has a good head on his shoulders. Rich can handle anything life throws at him. Not saying he won’t break down or have bad moments. However he’s a survivor, because he knows who he is and knows what he doesn’t want to be. This guides him forward. Then his love for Grace and Grace’s love for him taught him the rest.
He is just a strong, honest, witty, and consistent character. I love him for that. These are the things I have learned from Rich.
