Flow of Madness |
I write about pop culture and life in a philosophical way. Main topics include Skins, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Ed Sheeran. I will also include anything else that tickles me. Feel free to say hi. Always glad to hear from all of you. Thank you for existing. |
We meet Abigail in the first episode of Skins ever. In this episode she plays the ever excited rich society girl who sings choir with Tony. Well, she also wants Tony. Badly.
Just like ever other character on Skins though we start to learn more and more about her. In 1x2 we learn that her mother runs the psychiatric facility that Cassie goes to for her rehabilitation. We also hear her mother saying over the phone to Abigail about whether or not she took her medication. So we know she has some sort of diagnosed issue that she takes medication for.
In Sid’s episode Michelle gets jealous of Abigail and confronts her. This is all apart of Tony’s elaborate plan to make things interesting. However Abigail loses her temper easily and psychotically insults Michelle in one of the most epic ways.
“Ow! I’ll kill you, you fucking flat-chested cocksucking spastic horse-fucker!”
Abigail is used mainly as a tool for Tony to play with as he tries to manipulate situations. In Series 2, Abigail tricks post-accident Tony into thinking he is dating her. A bit of revenge or an act of psychotic desperation? Or a bit of both.
I often wonder if Abigail actually has issues or if it is just a product of who her mother is. I wonder if her mother tries out certain psychological theories on her children. Because Abigail’s brother Josh (another minor character which I will explore soon) also has to take medication otherwise he is unpleasant. Are they imbalanced due to genes and being naturally imbalanced? Or are they imbalanced due to taking medication that they probably did not need to take? Interesting thing to think about.
Abigail though will forever be the minor character who cried horse fucker. She will also be known as vital character in the down fall of Tony Stonem.
