Flow of Madness |
I write about pop culture and life in a philosophical way. Main topics include Skins, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Ed Sheeran. I will also include anything else that tickles me. Feel free to say hi. Always glad to hear from all of you. Thank you for existing. |
avilething asked: Have you seen the US version of Skins? I don't think it was as bad as much of the fandom makes it out to be.
I have seen a couple episodes of Skins US. It wasn’t the worst thing that aired on television. True. It even had some good things about it. However I think so many things could have been different to help the show along.
Being on MTV is one of them. It limits what you can show and what you can do. Several others as well.
I think the hatred towards it comes from a protectiveness. If you like Skins UK and someone makes another version you feel quite “WHAT? WHY?!!” Which I can understand but I agree it isn’t as bad as some make it out to be but I definitely didn’t vibe with it.
The US needs it’s own thing I reckon!
