Flow of Madness |
I write about pop culture and life in a philosophical way. Main topics include Skins, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Ed Sheeran. I will also include anything else that tickles me. Feel free to say hi. Always glad to hear from all of you. Thank you for existing. |
I have three scenes to talk about in this amazing episode.
1) Chris and Jal’s Pact

I love this scene because it represents a new beginning. A new beginning for Jal who is constantly closed off…she began to feel and take chances. A new beginning for Chris to actually do something proactive about his life. A new beginning of a great friendship turning into a romantic relationship. It was cute and sweet. A great scene.
“Ok! Ok! So let’s make a deal. I’ll start saying yes and you stop saying ‘fuck it.’” - Jal
2. Chris’s Failed Jobs

Chris is hilarious in this scene. He is trying but he is so friggin’ Chris. His stories of why he kept getting fired or quit were amazing. I also love the careers officer Josie and her hatred of swearing. This is a hilarious scene.
3. Chris’s Duvet Wish

I adore this scene. It is beautiful. I understand that feeling of needing a place to hide. Wishing for the world to change. Wishing for circumstances to get better. And the fact that he wants Jal to be invited in his duvet…is probably one of the sweetest things in this world. Gorgeous and heartwarming scene.
“When you were young, did you ever read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”? It’s a classic. It’s about this caterpillar, yeah, and he eats a load of stuff, and then he gets in a cacoon and becomes a butterfly. And after my brother died, whenever my parents were just you know, I’d get inside my duvet and I’d just read it over and over. And it made me think that when I came out, I didn’t want to be different. I just wanted what was outside to be different.” - Chris
