Chris Miles (Gen 1) and Alex Henley (Gen 3) 

I am going to start with the one who is the most like a Sagittarius: Alex. 

Alex is your quintessential Sagittarius. I feel like he is what most Sags want to be but can never fully commit to it due to life having strings no matter how hard we try to cut them. However Alex lives by the motto of Sags which is to live a life in pursuit of adventure, chance, and no strings attached. Freedom and liberation is most important to this sign and it is most important to Alex as well. He has wanderlust and has a hard time settling down for anyone even people he loves. They tend to be cheerful, enthusiastic, and also have a run of luck that matches no other sign. Alex describes himself as magic and he is one of the most cheerful people on Skins besides his other Sagittarius buddy Chris. Another reason I feel Alex is a Sagittarius is because he may not be the greatest boyfriend; however, he is a great friend. Sagittarius are the friendliest sign of the zodiac. His friendship to Liv and even to Nick was priceless. He will do favors and loves to help his friends in anyway that he can. The only thing he can’t do for them is stay all the time, because his wanderlust will be calling him to a new destination. Sags are also known for being truth tellers and story tellers. Alex has that side of his grandfather in him that loves telling stores, creating stories, and chasing stories. He is also someone who tells it like it is for instance the mouth hygiene comment. It’s not out of malice it’s because it’s true. 

Chris is a Sag because he is fun-loving, adventure seeking, brave, enthusiastic, and loves everyone. Everyone loves him and he is the life of the party. He also like Alex tries to live his life with no strings attach and often times doesn’t follow through on projects or on promises. Because that would mean expectations and disappointments and attachments. Chris is ‘fuck it’ guy. They guy who does what he wants over what he should which is the definition of what Sagittarius at its extreme can mean. He is also extremely straightforward and honest. Also a lot smarter than most people give him credit for. This sign is also interested in philosophy and Chris says some of the most philosophical statements out there. He is also a great friend and is remembered to be a great friend. 

These guys know how to party and they don’t like being told what to do. They want to do it there way.

1. (6x3) Poker Game: I think one of the first scenes that I actually started to really like Alex was this scene. He is a risk taker and he is playing poker with the big boys. Despite not knowing much about it (supposedly). He bluffs his way to a win before using a same sided coin to trick his way out of the tricky situation. This scene shows that he is a quick thinking risk taker.
2. (6x3) The Memorial Service: This scene was absolutely sweet. This was a memorial service that was about his Nan nothing more and nothing less. It was not about false memories or strangers thoughts, but instead about his Nan and the love he has for her. Wanting her to get a proper burial and not one that his father dictates is appropriate. He also invites his new found comrades to join in. So they can have a channel for their own grief. It was a sweet scene. 
3. (6x6) Helps out Nick: Nick’s mates refuse to help him. Partly due to the complicated nature of the situation. Alex means well and honestly wants to help. He offers his help to Nick. This scene is so small. However it shows Alex’s heart. He really DOES want to help. 
4. (6x3) Taking Care of His Grandmother: The relationship Alex has with his Nan is absolutely perfect. He respects her and she respects him. He takes care of her and wants to take care of her. She is free spirited and you can see some similarities between the two. I loved all his scenes with his Nan. 
5. (6x3) Breaking and Entering and Cleaning: This is a revolutionary idea. Breaking in not to steal, but instead clean the house. Same amount of adrenaline involved without the moral guilt. This is so Alex and it made me laugh.

Alex is a character that seems to magically appear at the right time for the group. To quote Alex everything about him is quite magic. This is a look into the personality and motivations of a character we did not spend enough time with yet there is quite a bit of meat to him despite the time disparity.

It’s a rebelling and refreshing song. Akron/Family is always good. This was also played in a key scene where Liv is trying to have a new beginning with a new friend. 

Anonymous asked: How do you feel about the Nick/Alex ship?

I definitely don’t think it will happen. With that said though…Sam and Sean have really good chemistry. I definitely would not have minded that story line. I never felt Nick was 100 percent straight. That’s my feeling though and it might be due to Sean’s leery face. 

I definitely wouldn’t have argued against that story line. I know many people who are intense Nick and Alex shippers. So I hear about them quite a bit. :)
